Also read this in the news this morning. Hillary did not only achieve great features by climbing Mount Everest but Sir Edmund Hillary devoted much of his to life raising money to build schools, hospitals and roads in villages in the Himalayan mountains. It is a whole era for "mountaineers" that disappears with him.

Yeah, sad day — but oh, what a remarkable life he lead! An ordinary person who did extraordinary things. Gives some hope for us all! Liz : )

    Steve,
you couldn\’t have picked a more appropriate photograph to pay tribute to someone who truly knew how to live life on his own terms. Not only did he take up the challenges that nature had to offer him, he also gave back as a great Humanitarian.  This tribute is very touching…hugs,Sheila

  8. BH says:

Sir Hillary was a class act and inspiration and he didn\’t need a Mountain Dew commercial to challenge himself and dream big.

Great Information, Plus splendid shots here!!  What is a puzzle to me though is how we can include Azimuth / Altitude into all of this so we can calculate for example, what date, time, year will the sun / moon be in our photographs.  What I mean is say for example we want to shot the moon inbetween two Tower Blocks, How do we work that out?  Let\’s say that we want the moon directly in the middle of the two Tower Blocks!!  How do we solve this riddle, or say for example we want the moon the same height as the Statue Of Liberty but on the Left Side of it!! or vice versa again how do we work that one out??

I hope you can grasp what it is i\’m trying to say ? 😉

    Speak soon.
