Three Fer Day

Yesterday I only got three photos to post, and here they are with the captions I put on flickr.

Pretty and poisonous Amanita.
I liked the light on this one.

Bonnie on her window perch in my office. It has been a mostly inside getrdone day here. Of course when any real work starts she goes off to a hidy hole and sleeps through it, only to emerge at supper time! I was surprised I got away with a 1/4 second hand held exposure at all.

Last night the swans weren’t there, the sunset was a non event,

but the evening train came by and I got this one. I call it simply Night Train.

How about a little CCR?

What a great sampling of a day in Alaska!  I love the train…is that a commuter train?  Bonnie definately, without a doubt looks like she could doze off at any moment…what a life!

Such a shame that \’shroom is poisionous, it looks like it would be great sliced in a salad!

CCR? I have never heard this one by them.  You never cease to surprise!
Thanks Steve for the day in Alaska,
    hugs hugs

  3. Karolyn says:

Lovely cat! she seems to be so pretty! I\’m sure she is not really a cat, she is yours!!!

  4. Lyn says:

Nothing like a little CCR to liven up the day. Used to be some of my best traveling tunes. Bonnie looks very happy in her world. Lucky kitty.

  5. JoAnn says:

I\’ve never seen that mushroom before!  Bonnie is a beautiful lady – thanks for sharing her with us.  Also, thanks for a little CCR – love\’em!

  6. Nozee says:

Poison packaged in prettiest of colours – neatly and small.Steve – this is a great shot to share.Remember to give that companion of yours a treat every now and then!

  7. Cindy says:

That mushroom looks like it\’s dusted with kosher salt.  Such a beautiful thing…too bad it\’s so poisonous.
Bonnie looks quite content in picture #2 and love seeing the Alaska RR.  As I remember, it\’s the only thing that runs on time in Alaska!  I know the ferry has a very loose schedule.  Arrival time is when it gets there and departure time is when it leaves.  Oh well, the scenery is worth the inconvenience.

  8. Flo says:

Interesting. Nice. My Kitty used to move whenever the camera came out. Don\’t know why. I didn\’t use flash on her.

  9. Sheila says:

They\’re all great pics. I really like "Night Train".

  10. Sheila says:

I\’m with Sheila … I really like the train picture. It kind of makes me sit here and wonder what it\’s hauling, where it\’s going, etc.

  11. PEP says:

I wish I could read her mind

  12. Cat says:

The Amanita – Fantasia – the sequence with the dancing mushrooms that morph into Chinese dancers – Bonnie reminds me so much of my late Maggie – a Maine CoonNight Train – love traveling by train –

  13. Evelyn says:

I love Bonnie she is beautiful and I am also happy to know that you are a cat person.  They are wonderful and so curious our boys( we have two and you can see them on my space) are so wonderful I don\’t know what I would do without them.  As always your photographs are beautiful.  I love the night train since I have seen that one in person.

Bonnie, you are a lovely stretch of warm loving fur.

The mushroom is beautiful.  I have never seen one I like, or that I think is beautiful till now.  The light IS oerfect on that one.  I\’m glad you captured it.  The night train…I think it runs through these parts.  🙂
