A bald eagle readies the talons for the grab.
These and owls (and Goss Hawks) are the only raptors to stay here year round.
Their success rate in obtaining a meal is very low, still they thrive,
they expend tremendous energy to cling to life,
still they survive, not relying on luck, but skills of survival.
We are not separate from this reality.
In photography as in life there is little luck if any, I feel,
It is putting one’s self into situations that may work,
and taking risks in an uncertain world, and making adjustments….
This one moment worked for me.
