From today, another seascape and mountain view,
courtesy of equinox light, in Upper Turnagain Arm.
50mm, 1/750 sec, F16, ISO 1600, handheld with polarizer filter.
More than 12 hours of daylight now and gaining more than 5 minutes a day.
I love this time of year, it holds the promise of a new year in the northern calendar.
Happy equinox to all, and spring to my more southern friends who know such a thing.
Love the pic, look like the moonhappy equinox to youhave good weekend Sue
I admit I am not so up on the equinox. The picture is looks like another planet.Spring is here but storms come with it as well. Usually tornado\’s. Love the stormclouds and it\’s approach.
What a wonderful world, and the view you have on it is specatular. Thanks Steve
How beautiful! Happy equinox.
You forgot your very southern friends – not coming into spring here! :-(Fabulous photos as always – and glad your daughter didn\’t fall (impetuous youth!)
Thanks for this beautiful picture Steve. I also like the "other side " of the equinox, when days get longer …Heat wave now forgotten, freezing again (about 25°F) at night … but beautiful blue sky !!Hugs,Katia
Brrrr…I\’m with Toodie here. I don\’t know much about the Equinox. But I do hope Spring comes your way soon. *sending warmth your way*
Delicate photo, Steve! Really! Still ice on the Glomma river, too. That\’s rare at this time of the year. I\’d like to start my kayak season now, but I have to wait for another two or three weeks… Thanks for dropping by at my space! Wish you a "Happy Equinox" and some wonderful weeks coming!Ellen
Hi Steve,Yes, snow is not a problem in Wellington – sometimes ice is an issue (even on golf courses). I wish the northern hemisphere a good spring – those that have one – down here, we appear to be going straight into winter and missing out fall/autumn altogether.
slushy, messy spring flowing out from austere depths of winter clarity
It still looks like another world to me. Happy equinos to you as well Steve.I just read on Ramblings blog that you said you won\’t have a sunny day due to volcano ash. I take it the volcano erupted?
