FOS, aka First of Season, a term I just became aware of through one of my flickr friends,
a wildlife photgrapher extrordanaire.
When I was a climber of rock ice and snow it seemed like a big thing to have a resume with FA’s (first ascents),
a goal to chase for some kind of recognition.
I got a few in, which I admit bolsterd my ego a bit, ok more than a bit then, but only a bit now.
Now days I look more toward the seasons, though I am not divorced from physical achievement at all,
which serves me in ways I am still discovering (tomorrow is another 5k run for me, and yes a little anxious here).
So it is not without emotion to see this tiny plant, so frail and so bold,
as I have learned life is,
and to photograph it on a windy evening with my macro lens, a combination that seldom works,
but just sometimes things do work, when you keep after it…
The little Willow Herb,
first wild flower of this season for me, a special FOS
There is magic and inspiration out there, get out and find it !
That’s my story and I will stick to it
Cute…Have a blessed weekend my adventurous friend.http://www.rappingonamelody.blogspot.com
Beautiful … so exquisitely fragile … and so strong after all !This looks to me as it could be a Cardamine pratensis, an edible plant (salad or soup)."http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3483/3456713454_1cfd3a5a41.jpg" Have a nice week-end and more FOS !Hugs,Katia
Oh, that\’s so beautiful. Nature is quite magical and inspiring. Humbles us all.
I\’m with you. The FOS for me are violets in the yard, I get down right sloppily happy when I see them and then, I bore everyone with my reminiscences about them.
The willow herb is lovely and very dainty looking. Good luck on your 5K run. Now I\’m off to find the magic and inspiration!
Thank You….
What magic you find, I always enjoy visiting your site, sorry that it took me so long to return, lots to catch up on I see,You take care dear friend, enjoy the run, keep well, Hugs in friendship, B
