The Raven

And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted- nevermore!
From Edgar Allan Poe’s poem
The Raven is top of the class in intelligence amonst the avian world.
We make him into many things but he is simply a talented and intelligent soul,
who’s antics I  am in awe of.

    The detail is amazing. So close, he shows no fear.The words are chilling. I had no idea there were so many colours of black.I hope the sun shines again and you have a good week.

    You know they say here in England Steve, that if the Ravens ever leave the Queens Palace, then the United Kingdom would cease to be no more. Well thats what they do say mate.

  12. Gareth says:

    Sorry Steve, it\’s if the Ravens leave the Tower of London then the Crown will fall and the UK with it. Thanks Gaz

    Cool shot, looks like you were almost within pecking distance. Crows and ravens are really smart, if you haven\’t seen David Attenborough\’s "Life of Birds" I suggest looking for it in your nearest video shop. It includes a good study on crows and ravens. Recommended! KD
